For those owners residing outside of Wales please note

Self-contained accommodation proposed reopening in Wales from 27 March 2021, but people in England will not be able to holiday in Wales at that time. In England, the “stay at home” rule will end on 29 March 2021, but overnight stays in self-catering and self-contained accommodation will not be permitted until 12 April 2021 at the earliest.

(Visiting the Caravan Park before the 27th March 2021 is still not permitted due to Government Legislation)

We hope that this letter finds you all well and in good health in these strange times and with the majority of us having had our first vaccination.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding and cooperation since the Park closed, in line with government legislation. I am pleased to let you know that further to the government’s updated advice we will open from 27th March 2021. We are working hard taking the necessary steps to be ready to welcome you back.

As you may be aware all four nations adopted slightly different guidelines for managing the virus, and it may be possible that more localised rules are implemented. This has the potential to cause confusion as to what is legally allowed in each region. Please familiarise yourself on a regular basis with the current Welsh Guidelines as well as your own. As I am sure you appreciate, these can and do change on a daily basis.

First and foremost, it goes without saying that the safety of everyone is our top priority. The rules will remain the same as for 2020.

All caravan owners will be required to follow a few changes to the park rules, these conditions must be met to allow the park to reopen safely, so we ask you all to please familiars yourselves with them. Please make sure that everyone staying on the park is aware of the changes, as failure to comply with the park rules may be a breach of the customer’s agreement with the park.

Park rules due to Covid-19:

  • No one should travel or stay on the park if they are in isolation or they or anyone in their household has Covid-19 symptoms.
  • The caravan should only be used by the owners and members of the same group.
  • No social group activities to be arranged or held on the park.
  • Please do not invite or entertain visitors. They will not be allowed access to the park.
  • Please do not allow children to be unsupervised around the park so they do not, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule.
  • A reminder that ‘holiday use only’ conditions continue to apply.
  • The Charity shop and play area will be closed until further notice.
  • Social distance to be maintained at all times in line with government guidelines.
  • Social distance to be maintained at all times from park team members.
  • The gate will be removed from the walkway leading from the play area onto the main road, so please supervise children.
  • If anyone is displaying signs of the COVID-19 virus while staying, you should immediately self-isolate where you are to minimise any risk of transmission, and request a test. If you are confirmed to have COVID-19, you should return home if you reasonably can. You should use private transport but only drive yourselves if you can do so safely. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority.
  • Refer to Public Health Wales basic guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

Caravan safety measures,

  • Flush through water systems to clear out stagnant water, especially shower heads which should be held away from the face to avoid inhaling spray.
  • Waste disposal will continue as normal. Please place all rubbish in a black plastic bag with the top firmly tied and then deposited in the bin. Please either wash or sanitise your hands after leaving the area on returning to your caravan.
  • If a gas check is required it should be carried out as soon as possible.
  • If you require gas please either email hortonfarmcaravanpark@gmail.com from the owner’s tab on the website hortonfarmcaravanpark.co.uk or contact John 01792 390256 / 07974 821150 Louise 07974 821150 to order. Once payment has been made electronically, gas will be delivered. Please include pitch number first in reference box when making payment.
  • Account name J B Mumby & Son    Sort code 40-43-31    Act no 51168304

Please note as the government advice changes and hopefully, the pandemic is brought under closer control, advice will be reviewed.

Government legislation states that the Park has to have a Track and Trace System in place before we are allowed to reopen. We are required to know who is on the park at any one time.  Therefore, a form has been designed which can be found on the Owners Tab of the web site, headed Track & Trace.  This form will have to be completed and emailed back notifying us of, pitch number, name, address, telephone numbers, email, arrival and departure dates.  This has to be completed for every visit by the lead member of your group only and for anyone carrying out maintenance work on your caravan.  This data will be handled in accordance with our data protection policy and destroyed after 21 days. Anyone found to be on site without a completed form having been submitted will be asked to leave immediately.  Please note it is currently only owners and their family units allowed on Park in line with Welsh Government Legislation.

Additionally, we ask everyone to show consideration please, for the local community upon your return.  Local relationships are important to us all and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; they will need reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness and respect for social distancing outside of the park.  Bringing your own supplies of food and drink may reduce reliance and congestion in local shops.  You may wish to bring essential items such as soap, hand gel, gloves disinfectant, hand sanitiser as these may be difficult to source locally.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this letter, it contains a lot of information and if you require further clarification on any part then please contact us directly. We look forward to welcoming those who are permitted on Saturday 27th March 2021.
